Mark Schwartz has just finished outfitting a violin studio and workshop in Flint, Michigan, to continue and expand the work he has done from his home in Flushing for the past 25 years.

About Mark Schwartz
Mark's area of expertise includes all instruments of the violin family: violin, viola, cello and doublebass. He has a B.A. from the University of Michigan in doublebass performance and therefore has a deep understanding of the needs and requirements of musicians and their teachers. Many violin shops hesitate to work on basses, but Mark welcomes this special work.

Repairs and Restorations
Mark spends the majority of his time with repairs and restorations of instruments. He provides normal maintenance such as bow rehairing, bridge fitting and peg replacement. He is also skilled with major repairs: broken necks, soundpost cracks, varnish damage, and more.

Instrument Sales
Mark Schwartz Violins carries an inventory of instruments for sale, at a range of prices. We can also special-order your student a new, quality instrument at a modest price and set it up professionally, to the teacher's specifications. Ask about our Trade-Up Agreement that can help you upgrade to a finer instrument in the future.

Hand-Crafted Instruments
Mark has recently returned to violin making, which he studied in Portland, Oregon in the early 1970s. Recently, he completed one violin and has several instruments in process.
