Jane Ball, Master Instructor
Jane Ellen Ball has worked for Mark Schwartz Violins for ten years learning to repair and care for stringed instruments. She has taught Violin, Viola and Cello for close to 50 years and has brought her Teaching Studio to Mark Schwartz Violins so that students have an all-encompassing experience of taking lessons, being able to play with various instruments and bows, looking through sheet music, and watching the luthiers repair and maintain the instruments.
Jane graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a Bachelor of Music Education and a minor in Strings. She is an accomplished cellist and educator, a certified Suzuki Teacher, certified in the Rolland Pedagogy, and founder and Musical Director of Simply Strings Orchestra. She has taught Strings in the public schools in Troy, Ohio and Okemos, Michigan.
Mrs. Ball founded the Simply Strings Orchestra in conjunction with the Fenton Community Orchestra. Simply Strings is designed for adults who have had some experience with a private teacher. The group plays intermediate level music and performs at concerts with the Fenton Community Orchestra as well as other locations, including outdoors, in the summer.
